Viva La Flow is an invitation to join us in the best kind of (r)evolution, one that starts from within. Welcome to a circle where you can own your authentic rhythms and style by arming yourself with the knowledge, wisdom and community to live your best cup-half-full life.
We’re on a mission to craft products and rituals that are not only environmentally conscious but that are also pretty damn cute. Our range of reusable menstrual products and natural birth control options celebrate every woman's innate individualism and ability to choose what is best for her body, on any given day, in any given flow.
We want to open the conversation on women’s intimate well-being to a comfy leg spread. Our art, jewellery and music is a collaborative homage to the wild feminine and nature in all its forms.
Join us in worshipping your Queen in-between.
VIVA LA FLOW FOUNDER
Hi, my name is Shae Raven. My background is as a film, TV and commercial Director. My shift into this arena came about when I felt a divine call to connect women to the magnificence of our cycles.
In my own journey I was on hormonal birth control since I was a teenager. After 15 years on the pill I began to experience health issues, specifically with my thyroid. After much investigation I changed to a natural alternative and started tracking my cycle. After a rollercoaster adjustment I came back to an equilibrium in my body that I realised had been missing. I like many other women didn’t realise that the “period” I experienced while on the pill was in fact a withdrawal bleed referring to the withdrawal of hormones in the pill, and in my body.
Since having my authentic cycle back I’ve felt an incredible shift into my power. I decided to dedicate myself to understanding my bleed and this otherwise unknown source of individuality. My research led me to not only a greater education of my body but to the ancient Goddess traditions and blood mysteries which celebrate them.
These traditions teach us about the phases of our monthly fertility cycle and how they correlate to nature and the moon. Having a greater understanding of how these phases affect our energy, mood and psyche means we start to sync with our bodies in a more empowered way. The by-product is becoming more attuned to who we truly are.
My discovery of reusable menstrual products came soon after. I found period cups life-changing in and of themselves. For not only me but for Mother Earth. I soon realised that I wanted to create period products that didn't just serve a function. I wanted to bring colour, art, beauty and celebration to an otherwise clinical industry.
I truly believe it's time to tell a new story about "that time of the month" and in doing so reclaim our power... maybe even start a (r)evolution.
